The Wynntown Marshals will mosey into town for a show at the 10th Glasgow Americana Festival.
The hugely popular five-piece Edinburgh-based band are set to rock The Hug and Pint on Friday, October 7 with their own distinctive and glorious take on Americana.
Songs from their acclaimed third album, The End of the Golden Age, released in 2015 – plus plenty from their catalogue that got under way almost ten years ago – will showcase the hard-working Scots’ undoubted class and major league entertainment value.
A Marshals’ gig is always a full-on affair with a superb crowd-pleasing blend of raucous, driving guitars and subtle harmonies.
What they offer has seen them headline throughout the UK and Europe and support, among others, Grammy-nominated Sturgill Simpson, Jason and the Scorchers, Chuck Prophet and the Mission Express and country legend Marty Stuart.
“The Marshals really do rock, as audiences will tell you, so we are very pleased that the guys can play the Festival this year,” said Kevin Morris, the Glasgow Americana Festival director.
“The Marshals’ take on Americana and rock ‘n’ roll just doesn’t get old” – Metro (UK)
