STURGILL SIMPSON SET FOR GLASGOW AMERICANA FESTIVAL
It’s a real coup for the Festival to attract the Nashville-based singer/songwriter, whose reputation is growing by the day. He is lined up for Oran Mor on Sunday, October 5.
A recent appearance on Jools Holland’s BBC2 show, his latest album, “Metamodern Sounds In Country Music,” which was Uncut Magazine’s Americana Album of the month and came hard on the heels of his excellent “High Mountain Top” release, confirm his status as a rising star.
“Sturgill is getting glowing reports everywhere you look and his last gig in Glasgow was brilliant,” said Kevin Morris, Festival director.
“We are really look forward to welcoming him back and he’s going to bring this year’s Festival to a close in fine style.”
